Charmaine Wheatley captures the essence of both the appearence and personality of everyone and everything she puts to paper in this artist comic book. This project was originally intended as a Canadian’s portrait of Buffalo but Charmaine spreads out to reflect on the peculiarites of love, daily life, people and anything else that strikes her fancy. She claims to have mixed red wine, beet soup and even her own tears in with her watercolours for some pages. This work is, in a word, simply lovely.
