Description

“If you wanted the exact opposite of Barack Obama, it’s Donald Trump.” – Frank Luntz

One-Eighty is a side-by-side look at the inaugurations of Barack Obama (2009) and Donald Trump (2017). The title refers to the whiplash many experienced transitioning from one administration to the next. Using a mix of portraits and candids, both events were documented from within the thick of the crowd near the Washington Monument. What emerges are two very different visions of America.

One-Eighty employs a tête-bêche (“head-to-toe”) binding, with two front covers—two beginnings—whose stories converge in the middle.
