Description

This first monographic catalogue devoted to the work of Jon Knowles covers the artist’s key projects spanning the years 2004-2014 and builds upon the Darling Foundry’s commitment to his production: his use of a studio for a 3 year tenure, the presentation of his 2012 exhibition Mixed Misuse through to the production of this edition, The Last Decayed.

A text by the Montreal critic and curator Vincent Bonin highlights the artist’s discursive studio practice and points to the discourses and tensions that are raised in each of his projects, describing them in a chronological perspective.

Artist, Michael Eddy builds on the links between human experience and the experience of the collector resulting in a philosophical questioning of praxis.

A factual presentation of selected projects by Knowles with full colour illustrations is also included.

Hardcover. 40
colour illustrations, including 1 postcard insert.
Text in both English and French.
Designed by Jeremy Stewart Design.
