Description

Inspired by the Kate Bush song “Symphony in Blue” (EM) this project is a search for universal representations of spirituality and hope. A series of images selected by the artist from the resulting Google hits of an image search for ‘God’.

The artist saw a heavy correlation between impoverished communities and the promotion of religious practice. He remembers being offered church pamphlets daily in Flatbush, often with serene imagery of light breaking through clouds.

He reproduces similar images to illustrate his own “church pamphlet.”
