Description

“Field Notes” is a continuation of James’ interest in the agrarian landscape, with a special focus on the Waterloo region. These works show us a pasture along the Conestogo River that is only a few hundred metres from the edge of town. Though these works show us the pastoral reaches of the regions as they are today, one can’t help but sense pending change – an acknowledgment that we are witnessing a landscape on the cusp of dramatic transformation.
