A superbly produced book which presents five, almost identical, colour photographs of a young Vietnamese girl repeated from front to back. The child was photographed by Jaar while he was investigating ‘refugee detention centres’ in Hong Kong. Reminiscent of a film strip taken from a longer narrative, the book provides a small glimpse of a life caught in the middle of political upheaval.
