This publication documents the discussion event held on 19 Feb 2011, The Medium of Contingency.
The event brought together in discussion Robin Mackay (director of Urbanomic), Reza Negarestani (author of Cyclonopedia), Elie Ayache (author of The Blank Swan), Matthew Poole (freelance curator, writer, and director of The Centre for Curatorial Studies at The University of Essex), gallerist Miguel Abreu and artist Scott Lyall.
The publication includes presentations by each of the participants and an edited transcript of the discussion.
