Catalogue of the exhibition held in 2005 at the Contemporary Art Gallery, Vancouver. Essays by Jenifer Papararo, John Welchman, Nathaniel Heisler.
The exhibition showcased ceramic works Moppett made while training to be a potter over a period of eight months. Playing the role of artesan, Moppett failed to perfectly master his craft. The resulting amatuerish artworks help to evoke questions about what role material enquiry and formal skill can still play in the production of art.
