Description

Directly responding to Ed Ruscha’s “Every Building on Sunset Strip—and then some,” a photographic essay of L.A’s notorious street. Monk takes a conceptual approach to cityscapes, particularly Los Angeles where he disavows the vernacular of architecture to instead focus on traffic and intersections. The photographs are all black and white, and shot in a snapshot style.
