Bloordale Pond is just one example of an urban pond, created in 2021 as a new habitat for ducks and fish, and of course, for the enjoyment of city dwellers. This body of water is located in the bike lane on the north side of Bloor Street just west of Dufferin and exists thanks to the City of Toronto’s PondTO initiative. Though residents at the retirement home have a premium view of the pond from their picture window at ground level, a sidewalk bench offers a lovely spot to relax and enjoy the breathtaking vista as well.
