The catalogue for the second in a series of exhibitions at Culturgest, Lisbon, in which the presentation of three concurrent solo exhibitions is intended to generate a dialogue between the participating artists – in this case, Bernard Voïta, Hermann Pitz and Michael Snow – that ultimately leads to its interpretation as a group exhibition. Expressed in an essay by curator Friedrich Meschede as “an unusual and challenging concept”, the book clearly depicts the different backgrounds of each artist, especially regarding notions of the studio (the space in which an artist develops and realises work), but also those aspects that are shared between them, like photography and film.
