This publication acts as a written documentation of the event where Toronto video artist Lisa Steele spoke on the work of American video artist John Orentlicher. Steele develops a fascinating discussion on her knowledge and experience of the ‘female voice’ in video work and her acknowledgment that she has a limited comprehension of the ‘male perspective’. This duality creates a smart tension that Steele beautifully straddles in a time of uprising Third Wave feminism.
