Description

Fronted by NYC artist/musician Kembra Pfahler The Voluptuous Horror of Karen Black was initially concieved as a prank observation of NYC’s underground scene of the time. The band’s amateurish punk rock aesthetic merged effortlessly with the horror/shock rock legacy of Alice Cooper and Stooges-era Iggy Pop. For a mental image of the performances, mix some Rocky Horror Picture Show with some Lower-East Side goth-porn theatricality and you get the idea. Campy, stylish and threatening. 11 tracks.
