Upon arriving at The Banff Centre for a thematic residency entitled A PAPER, A DRAWING, A MOUNTAIN each of nineteen artists were given a dossier. It contained an introduction from the residency’s leaders — Silke Otto-Knapp and Jan Verwoert- and an itinerary; a latticework for a few weeks of (hopefully) creative, sociable, theoretical, physical, and, in line with the residency’s theme, mimetic activities.
The Child Albertaincludes texts and images produced, found, considered, and argued about during the residency. All are echoes of aspects of the event.
