Incredibly Hot Sex with Hideous People, a zine that has been quietly seeping out of Wellington for nearly a decade, quickly become a favourite with audiences who could ‘relate’. Bryce Galloway, a Wellington musician, began it as a thinly-disguised publicity organ for his unpopular band, but the zine soon morphed into a graphic diary of sorts involving many funny friends that chronicled his ‘development’ (and his horror thereof) from slacker, to adult art student, to father, and homeowner. This compilation halts as his wedding looms, as this book covers the ‘before marriage’ years (issues 1-37). As Galloway himself says, “Enjoy, or don’t.”.
