The October 2007 issue of outstanding music publication The WIRE contains a ontribution by Yoko Ono to Art Metropole’s ‘Advertising by Artists’ exhibition series. Also in this issue: his month’s Wire comes with the latest instalment of their always-intriguing Wire Tapper compilations, with contributions from artists like Automated acoustics, Strings Of Consciousness, Damon & Naomi, Heribert Friedl, Tarantel and Goodiepal among others. In additon to all that there’s a great interview with Robert Wyatt, who’s poised to release what’s bound to become one of the years most talked-about albums, Comicopera, an Invisible Jukebox piece with drumming legend Han Bennink and – I realise this is hardly a big draw – an especially agreeable selection of charts.
