Part of Jamelie Hassan’s Orientalism & Ephemera project, originally developed for the Cairo Biennale, Johanna Kandl’s ‘mobile social sculpture’; texts from various writers including Rosa Luxemburg, Indira Gandhi, Virginia Woolf and Hada Bejar were translated into Arabic and printed on balloons, forming an opportunity to reflect on cultural relativism and inscriptions in new context.
