Massimo and Pierce, the core duo behind Zurich-based audio/performance art
collective Black Sun Productions, elevate sex to performance-ritual levels
(see the MUSICK FOR PORN audio volumes listing on this site). PLASTIC SPIDER
THING is the soundtrack to their 23-part performance/installation of the
same name. This “remix” of sounds from the Coil audio catalogue forms the
soundtrack to BSP’s performance/installation, PLASTIC SPIDER THING, from
2002. BSP gained broader notoriety when they appeared as stage performers on
Coil’s European tours later the same year. This audio release was created by
BSP collective member Drazen, and features images from this ritualistic sex
event.
