The full-page b/w photographs in this book, reveal Beuys’ contribution to Documenta 6 in Kassel, Germany, 1977. For 100 days the artist implemented his notions of expanded art and moved his Free International University into the Museum Fridericianum. Gerhard Steidl’s photographs had been archived for 20 years, assembled in 1997 for this book.
