This work was conceived as a public poster project in the streets of Athen during the opening of Documenta 14. It was part of the artists run social initiative Pane Per Poveri. The text of the poster is a free and contextual translation of the phrase “All collectors under federal investigation. Now!!” This sentence and the work in general are inspired by Andrea Fraser’s “There’s no place like home”, a text she wrote as a contribution for the 12th Whitney Biennial. The language also reflects the tone and phrasing used by newspapers in reference to tax evasion as a core problem of Greece’s ongoing economic crisis.
