Description

The Tote Bag partially situates the Gendai Workstation exhibition space through its location, duration and volume, while simultaneously segmenting and circulating that volume. The bags, as vestigial memorials with active and indeterminate locations and durations, enact new potentials for the workstation’s volume: bearing art, bearing groceries and disappearing. Each user’s deployment of the bag is an open, passing renovation.

The operation of the Gendai Workstation started on September 9, 2011 and ended on August 12, 2012.

Edition of 15676.
