A series of photos taken by the artist in 2009 around Teufelsburg hill in Berlin, Germany’s Gruenewald park. Similar to previous works by Schatz, ‘Teufelsberg’ serves both as a personal memory log for the artist but also as a presentation of a formal theme. In this case the artist considers the act of looking and breaking through.
Includes a tipped-in newsprint poster of rubbings taken from broken glass at Teufelsburg.
