Description

Zack (1938-1995) is noted for his contribution to the development of mail art, performance and other “open source” cultural movements of the 60s, 70s and 80s including his correspondence novels and the development of the “Monty Cantsin open popstar” concept.

Governor General’s Award winning artist, curator and key figure in correspondence art for many years Istvan Kantor curated DAVID ZACK: Wizard?! Perturber?! Possessed!, an exhibition held at TNG from October to November 2008. In cooperation with TNG, Kantor has edited a retrospective publication about his (in)famous friend.
