Printed in a limited edition of 20,numbered and signed by the artist, the print shows both the front and back of an imaginary trillion dollar note. The face side features a portrait of current Prime Minister Stephen Harper montaged with images of his Ontario collaborators Mike Harris and Jim Flaherty and a bare cupboard, representing the state of public service and public finances they are working towards. The reverse side features images of Conservative economic and ideological drivers, the oil and defense industries.
The denomination one trillion estimates the cost to date of Canada’s military spending in Afghanistan ($30 billion) plus the loss in Canada’s global brand reputation as a peacekeeper (priceless really).
Edition of 20, signed and numbered.
