Description

Miyagi takes pictures of himself inserted in the lives of other gay men, whom he does not know. As part of a series, the photographs feature strangers who invited Miyagi into their apartment for the purpose of being photographed with him. The images are poetically stiff and awkward. For Miyagi, each image is an obscure statement, but as a whole they may be able to create a clearer vision. Miyagi’s Strangers books are also available at Art Metropole.
