Description

A pharmaceutical glass bottle contains one page from a vintage Webster’s dictionary that has been shredded by a blender. The toe tag, attached by string to the neck of the bottle, indicates the shredded page number that the bottle contains. In its illegibility, the Dictionary Piece questions the contextual boundaries of language and characterizes dictionaries as an authoritative source for language. It disarms the textual narratives of the English language. It’s a noted favorite dust collector for post-modern bookshelves.
