Awakenings documents a selection of work from the artists’ projects, realized between 1969 -71 at four diverse locations in Toronto. Hardbound, maps of each location, 61 black and white photographs, and a 33 1/3 rpm percussion recording made at Awakening 1. Colour transparencies were also made at each location, and a series of films recorded at Awakenings 1 – 4 during the ‘opening’. The projects marked the beginning of their collaborative work, including: The Organic Zucchini and Rural Route One.
