Description

This CD is the audio component of the Greatest Hits exhibition of music related works intended to raise questions about the role of the art gallery/visitor, the accepted modes of art production/consumption, and the question of originality in art. In this work both artists, Jeff Gillman and Gilles Hebert, apparently resist the political impulse. While their work avoids direct facile social commentary, opting instead to be illustrative and celebratory, a lelvel of pointed irreverence remains palpable. 14 page booklet with interview between Jeff Gillman and Gilles Hebert “that never took place” included.

New Work by Frieso Boning. Muzak by Jeff Gillman.
