This work is the third and last volume of a trilogy entitled ‘Manuals’, which contains Yona Friedman’s ‘Cartoon Strips’. They were published from 1975 to 1992 in more than thirty countries and twenty languages, often in the form of photocopies.
This volume disseminates Friedman’s research on questions of language, interpretation and improvisation. In disseminating the thoughts of a man in the street for the man in the street, this encyclopedia of drawings creates a public usage of personal thoughts.
With a brief introduction by Sylvie Boulanger.
