Description

An art book by Evergon alias Egon Brut, Celluloso Evergonni and Eve R. Gonzales.

With texts by Jean-François Renaud, Bruce Hugh Russell, Alain Laframboise & Louis Cummins.

Evergon, alias Egon Brut, Celluloso Evergonni and Eve R. Gonzales, has been and remains an important figure on the Ottawa scene as artist, teacher and activist. The works presented in the exhibition reinforce the reputation that the artist has gained for originality, intensity and beauty of his photographic production. Four essays analyze the baroque character, the mythic nature and the homoeroticism of the photographer’s work.
