A Sea of Cogs continues artist Ruaridh Law’s video series of the same name as a combination print and sound publication. Interviews with five people about the changes that the covid-19 pandemic brought to their work and life are transformed into music and poetry, grappling with what it means to have to reevaluate your identity at a time of upheaval. The sound pieces use the audio from Law’s videos as material for ambient exploration and the accompanying publication draws from the original interview transcripts, bringing to the surface the poetry that was already there. The book includes a download code for the album via Bandcamp. Read more at https://blink.lol/projects/2022-seaofcogs.html.
