In 1974 Ant Farm (Chip Lord, Hudson Marquez, Doug Michels) buried ten Cadillacs, fins up, in a wheat field owned by Texas businessman Stanley Marsh III. “Cadillac Ranch Show” uses Cadillac TV ads, construction footage, and studio performances to capture the spirit and the statement of this famous sculpture. In “Media Burn” a phantom dream car crashes through a wall of burning television sets befor a cheering crowd at the San Francisco Cow Palace on July 4th, 1975. This classic tape is a verite documentary of the public performance.
