IMAGINATION IS NOT THE NEW CURRENCY is the first of several un-numbered, un-signed artist statements to be published by Isaac Flagg. By emphatically inverting the well-known slogan of the Ontario College of Art and Design, the sentence “IMAGINATION IS NOT THE NEW CURRENCY” aims to defend the creative power of the intellect against a prevalent ideology of capitalist subsumption.
