Hotam #5: Hot Asian Men is a Special Literary Issue. It has 13 contributing writers and artists from diverse backgrounds – all writing on the topic on “Asian Men.” The list includes Wayson Choy, Andy Quan, Tom Cho, Nguyen Tan Hoang, Viet Le, Mattew Salesses among many more. Their writings range from personal story, reportage to fiction, prose and poetry. To accompany the rich text, editor Ho Tam offers his collection of research materials as illustrations, including Bruce Lee playing cards, international banknotes collection, bad boys movie posters and beefcake magazines. Visually and intellectually engaging, “Hot Asian Men” promises to deliver a unusual reading experience to all readers. ‘Hotam’ is a series of artist’s book by Ho Tam. Published quarterly in limited edition of 250 copies, each issue uses the format of a magazine but has a special theme and approach.
