Description

The “Journal of Absence” consists of nineteen micro-stories written on the basis of nineteen “art visits”, among which are: a visit to the Frick Collection exhibit of Piero della Francesca; studio visits in Bushwick and at the Brooklyn Army Terminal; a visit to Ed Ruscha’s show Books and Co. at the Gagosian; a visit to the studio of Vito Acconci; and a visit to the Lower East Side Printshop. The nineteen stories form nineteen entries in a journal of absence, where text is in the place of art.
