Zine Launch: Purpose, Precarity

Earlier this spring, Bad Behaviour Collective convened their second workshop series, inviting a group of local artists and writers to meet at Art Metropole over the course of ten weeks to discuss the function of artmaking in our contemporary world. The result of these conversations is Purpose, Precarity, a zine that distills these discussions into a collection of questions about process, collaboration, instinct, authenticity, and the reasons why artists do what they do.
Please join us at Art Metropole on Sunday October 4th, 2026 from 2:00-4:00pm to celebrate the launch of Purpose, Precarity with a reception, drinks, snacks, and a conversation between publication contributors Cason Sharpe, Adrienne Scott, Bhavika Sharma, Brady MacKinnon, Alex McMillan, and Jasmine Yanqingqing Yu. Copies of the zine will be available for purchase at the launch, as well as several titles from the workshop’s reading list.
Bad Behaviour Collective was formed in the summer of 2024 by Cason Sharpe and Adrienne Scott. Sharpe and Scott continue to live and work in Toronto, ON.
