Parvaneh Radmard is a Toronto based artist working with multimedia installation and photography. Radmard’s work is a consideration and reflection on a variety of cultural, social and political issues. She is a graduate of the University of Fine Arts, Tehran, Iran, and engaged in Post Graduate studies at York University, Toronto, and Camden College, London, England. Radmard has exhibited at A.R.C. Gallery, Chicago, and National Museum of Women in Arts, Washington D.C, The Grimsby Public Gallery in Grimsby, Ontario, Cambridge Gallery, Ontario, and at Red Head Gallery, A Space Gallery, OCAD, Workscene Gallery and Open Studio in Toronto.
For Contact Photography Festival 2017, Radmard presents a collection of archival pigment photographs on both watercolour and photographic paper. The title of this collection is Another Birth. Each photograph collaborates with a corresponding poem, creating a tangible yet subjective expression; the union of these two distinct forms elicits an intimacy between two modes of artistic expressions.
