Art Metropole at in/future

Art Metropole’s Pop-Up shop will be on site at the first in/future festival at Ontario Place.
Michael Pace (AM Registrar) and John Elammar (AM Volunteer) have curated a selection of artists’ books and multiples from the shop that engage the unique qualities of the site and its inherent themes.
These works track the shifting patterns of urbanity and our fluid relationships to them. They undermine the established wall between nature and civilization, and map the life of “The Utopia”: its declaration and decay, its reanimation and afterlife.
In a fitting but unfamiliar context, the Pop-Up should allow new intensities and interpretations to grow for this collection.
