Art Metropole is pleased to announce its particpation in the 2020 Vancouver Art Book Fair, taking place online at https://vancouverartbookfair.com/
Free and open to the public, VABF is a multi-day celebration of artists’ publishing featuring over one hundred local, national, and international publishers, as well as a diverse line-up of programs, performances, and artists’ projects. The fair has been a yearly event in Vancouver since 2012. This year, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, it will be held online.
The 2020 program features artists and publishers from Canada and abroad, guest curated by Vivian Sming and presented through digital platforms such as Zoom and YouTube.
Art Metropole is featuring two of its own forthcoming publications at the fair; 1—130, an artist book by Toronto-based artist Nour Bishouty, and Behind Your Stumbling, a new poster edition by Bay Area artist Kota Ezawa and writer Dodie Bellamy. Art Met will also feature a new series of patches by Brendan Fernandes in collaboration with Inner Decay.
