Art Basel attendees are invited to drop by our booth at this year’s fair in Basel, Switzerland. Find us in Hall 1.1, in the Magazines section.

We’re excited to feature new multiples by Brittany Shepherd and Kandis Friesen and to launch Bill Burns’ new edition – see details below. Our booth will feature a selection of editions by Canadian and international artists alongside a wide selection of rare books, posters, prints and ephemera.

We are also pleased to note that the iconic work by Steve Reinke My New Boyfriend is a Protease Inhibitor (1997) from our Billboards by Artists series will be featured at Gallery Isabella Bortolozzi’s booth, Hall 2.1 Booth R16.

Power 100, 2018
Bill Burns

Power 100 – Meta List is a book, set of three offset litho postcards, and special boxed audio edition consisting of a meta-list of some of the most influential people in the contemporary art world. The names are based on ArtReview magazine’s Power 100 List. Published by Mark Pezinger Verlag, Vienna, 2018.

Since 2011 Mr. Burns has had himself paged, along with some of those whose names appear on the list, on public address systems at various airports, art fairs, train stations, museums and department stores.

Some of the gem-like live recordings included in the special boxed edition consist of Bill Burns being paged with the likes of Jeff Wall at the Vancouver International Airport; Beatrix Ruf at Helsinki Central Station; and Nicholas Serota at Barcelona’s El Corte Ingles. Each box contains a bespoke sound board with a motion sensor designed by Robert Chuikshank. The edition is designed by Astrid Seme Studio, Vienna.
