Art Metropole at Art Basel 2019

Art Metropole is pleased to announce its participation at 49th Art Basel art fair.

This year marks the 45th anniversary of Art Metropole, and the 43rd anniversary of its collaboration with Art Basel. To mark the occasion, the organization is featuring some special material, including rare publications from the private collection of Art Metropole co-founder, AA Bronson. Featured works include a first edition of Michael Snow’s seminal artists’ book, Cover to Cover, (ed. Kasper König, NSCAD Press), and other publications by Canadian and international artists including Guerrilla Girls, Image Bank, Martin Kippenberger, Ron Terada, Barbara Kruger, Luis Jacob, Antonia Hirsch, Lisa Robertson, Stan Douglas, and Laurie Anderson, among others.

Art Metropole will also feature some of its artist editions, with works by Divya Mehra, Yoko Ono, Martin Creed, Eckhaus Latta, Ben Kinmont, and Garry Neill Kennedy, and more.

Toronto artist Bill Burns will also be on site June 14 from 2pm to 4pm to sign brochures and a new poster project published by Atelier Amden related to his ongoing performance The Great Trading Project, which included a recent iteration in Switzerland last summer.
