Acid-Free Book Market II
Art Metropole is pleased to announce its second participation in ACID-FREE. The Los Angeles Art Book Market & Bazaar is a three-day event produced by a programming committee of LA-based publishers, librarians, and curators, hosted by Blum & Poe Los Angeles. A–F ⅠⅠ provides a platform for 90+ West Coast and international exhibitors presenting new publications and projects alongside film programming by Now Instant Image Hall and La Collectionneuse, an archival exhibition curated by Guadalupe Rosales, music by Pacoima Techno, and a full schedule of ongoing discursive programming and signings.

Art Metropole and artist-publisher Anthea Black host a roundtable discussion on book reprints, second editions, and the creative, theoretical and ethical considerations of seeing limited edition publications back into print. They consider HANDBOOK: Supporting Queer and Trans Students in Art and Design Education, the BY ARTISTS series from Art Metropole with Primary Information, and Publication Studio Vancouver, and invite publishers interested in re/publication to join the dialogue.
